I totally agree!

LInus had a great and very bright achievment in origianlly creating
Linux. But the smartest thing he did was license it under the GPL
which drew in a community of developers and users.

Times have changed and the GPL has to be updated to reflect those
changes.  I agree with Richard Stallman. That's one of the main
reasons I use Linux - the GPL and it's freedom. The continued spirit
of the GPL is reflected in the updates that are being proposed which
are in completed harmony with the freedom it has maintained all along.
