[LBo] Using SuSE 10.1

I've really been enjoying using SuSE 10.1.  There are still a few things
that I have to do, but that can wait.

Recently I've had occasion to leave the computer room and when I return
the screen is all black.  I then move the cursor and a large block
appears that is asking for my  Password: which I enter and then press
the "Unlock" button.  After that the normal Gnome screen appears.

I would like to either eliminate this time out or increase its duration.
Having looked in the "Control Center" nothing seems to be appropriate.

Any clues?
