Interesting dilemma there Anita.  On my Debian systems I can get to that
information, but Debian seems to use the manpages and info uses the
manpages within Debian.  So, you would have a different format but the
same information.

IF that would take care of your needs, you could just do an 'apt-get
install manpages' and then invoke info.  If that will not work for you,
Gentoo installs grep.info.gz, I have it on here.

/usr/share/info/grep.info.gz
