Is there any advantage in using Krfb instead of VNCserver?

I have VNCserver running on my local server and use tightvnc on my 
windows portable from work. I plan to setup my firewall so I can use SSH 
tunneling with VNC to access my desktop from elsewhere. If Krfb is 
faster than VNCserver it might be worth moving to that first.
