Hello everybody,

here some info about "the community that helps people to install and run
Linux":

In June, we had 4224 visits to LinuxBasics.org (not counting
search-engines and bots). (avg. 140,80 per day, high: 268 06/30, low: 77
06/03).

This month, it was the first (and 2nd, 3rd, and 4th :) time we had more
than 200 visitors a day.

Visitors came from:
.com, unknown, .net, Germany, New Zealand, India, Australia, South
Africa, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Italy, .us, Singapore, Finland,
Netherlands, Switzerland, Mexico, Belgium, Austria, .org, .mil, .edu,
.info, Argentina, Israel, .gov, Thailand, Denmark, Brazil, Venezuela,
Japan, Greece, Turkey, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Bulgaria, Sweden,
Philippines, Portugal, Estonia, Greenland, Malaysia, Spain, Czech
Republic, Romania, Slovak Republic, Norway, .biz, Colombia, South
Korea,	Hong Kong, .arpa, Sri Lanka, Russian Federation, Cyprus,
Indonesia, Oman, Croatia, Chile, Luxembourg, Saudi Arabia, Ireland,
Uruguay, Vietnam, Pakistan, Honduras, Mauritius, Peru, Egypt, Morocco,
Slovenia, Fiji, Taiwan, Swaziland, Ghana

Visitor use the following OS:
Windows (45%), Linux (30.6%), Unknown (21.9%), Apple Mac (2%), Sun
Solaris, BSD, Symbian OS and RISC OS
IIRC, Linux and Unknown (which I believe is Linux, too) have surpassed
Windows for the first time.

And they use the following browsers:
Firefox (44.7%), MSIE (21.1%), Mozilla (10.3%), Unknown (13.1%),
Konqueror (5.3%), Opera (2.2%), Safari (0.8%)
Below 1%: Camino, Galeon, Shira, Epiphany, K-Meleon, Lynx, wget, Dillo,
curl and others

I note especially that there have been people accessing LBo using
textmode browsers (some 20 pages/month!).

List traffic has picked up quite a bit. This June, 73 Members have
posted 223 messages. (I hope, I did not bring the discussion to a halt
just by insisting that threads are not chopped apart. Keep going, folks!)

I thought this might interest you,

Stefan
