These are the nameservers that I have listed in my resolv.conf file on
my systems, different quads, but the same idea.

However, if you are unable to ping 192.168.123.100 or 192.168.123.254,
then you are having issues with the NIC, as Douglas has mentioned.  And,
unfortunately, it has been nearly a year since I have been playing with
SuSE.

Oh, and you don't want to up any addresses in the DHCP configuration,
with the possible exception of the DNS servers.

HTH, and keep trying.  Worst case scenario, I live in Barnum, not all
that far away.   :-D
