[LBo] How do I get my thumb drive to work in Kanotix?

http://linuxbasics.org/tutorials/using/using_udev might help you.  Read 
that for a start and especially the part on jump drive.  That's how I 
got mine going.  kanotix will surely be using udev since it has all the 
latest and greatest stuff on it.
