Background:
Because I thought I was dealing with a dirt-simple problem of getting conne=
cted to LBo chat via freenode, I initially addressed that problem directly =
to Anita. She took care of it for me. As often happens in life, the solutio=
n to one problem only leads to a problem in the next layer so I'm going to =
the forum to take the load off the LBo Team.
The problem:
I downloaded an xchat RPM specifically for SuSE 10.0 [my distro] from www.x=
chat.org . Using YaST to install this program, everything proceeds ok up to=
 the point where a skeleton xchat screen appears but in a moment an error m=
essage comes up advising that a program "xchatxchat" cannot be found. Respo=
nding "OK" to this message results in an abort of the install.

Going now to terminal, "whereis" cannot find any file named "xchatxchat" no=
r any file named just "xchat".

Going back to www.xchat.org such a file as "xchatxchat" cannot be found the=
re either. (And, by the way, the xchat RPM I downloaded from this site is t=
he one linked to from Novelle's site - Anita found it for me. So somebody a=
t Novelle thinks it works with SuSE 10.0.)

Is anyone using this particular xchat client under SuSE solved this problem?

Is anyone using an xchat client downloaded from some other source which mig=
ht work with SuSE?
