I'm not clear on what you mean here. Is SuSE recognizing your ethernet
card? Is the LAN router hooked to it by cable? Or are you using Wireless?
You could copy a couple things into your email to the list. In an
terminal run 'lspci' and then highlight the output, click on the email
and click both mouse keys at once if you can do that with a trackball.
I think that will work to paste the output into the email for you. If
you want to get just the part that deals with the ethernet or wireless
cards, that would be good.
Then do /sbin/ifconfig and copy anything that looks good in that. I'm
assuming that the problem is either that the ethernet/wireless is not
configured or that the connection hasn't been set up. I think we need
to get a picture of what you are seeing there.
