Starting place on the printer/scanner will probably be 
http://linuxprinting.org/  Check if they have anything on your printer 
and let us know where that takes you. 

I haven't done a scanner, but I hear this is a good place for that: 
http://www.sane-project.org/ 

This probably will have the makings of a good tutorial with what you 
learn.  We don't have anything on printer/scanner combinations that I 
know of.  So let us know what you find out so we can get it on the site.
