I am no Suse pro, but I have to run the command "netcardconfig" (as 
root) in a command line prompt after I install Kanotix, and it 
automatically get the info from my router and configure itself.  It 
might be a command specific to Kanotix (like a script), but there should 
be some config command in Suse. Anita seems to know more about that.
