You can get rid of the unused user in Yast, section "Users and Security".

If there is only one user, Suse should log you in automatically.
If not, you can go to the KDE-Control-Centre (In the K-menu), then 
"System adminitration" and the "Login-Manager". Then click on the buttom 
on the bottom "System management mode" and give the root-password.

After that you can switch to the last tab "Simplifications"(?) and tell 
KDM to log in your user of choice upon bootup without asking for 
credentials.

As you see in my mails, whenever you do something that could compromize 
the system, you need to give the root-password. That is the reason why 
there are no viri for Linux in the wild. Any virus would need to be 
installed by the system-admin in order to infect the system.

Users (and their programms) can only do harm to their own data. (Which 
could be enough, but that is another story :)
