This is most likely true, because the cdrom is usually installed on the
second ide as master. But it is not always true. I've had my cdrom
installed on primary ide as slave which makes it hdb (as you said
above--hdb is the second (slave) drive) So it is possible that the
second hard drive would not be hdb. I know this is probably useless
information, but it is something to be aware of as a possibility.
