[LBo] Not All CLI's Are Created Equal

I feel like the best looking kid in the orphanage after all the CLI help I =
got from you good people.

I tried every variation of entering "su" from a CLI and never got a prompt =
or a response remotely like what y'all said I should so I concluded there m=
ust be another CLI somewhere.

All I have to mention is that I am working from the KDE 3.4 desktop and I'l=
l bet at least half of you know exactly the source of my problem.

Yep, the CLI called "Run" in the KDE menu is where I was trying to enter th=
e command and it just doesn't work that way.

I finally discovered that Menu-System-Terminal presented three different CL=
I protocols: Konsole, Super User and X-Terminal. All them would produced th=
e result you folks wanted me to have. (After, that is, I realized that when=
one enters a password into Linux it does not respond to each character wit=
h an "alive" dot. One must just have faith that their entry is being heard.)

Actually, I figured out afterward that the "Run" function could also be mad=
e to work by clicking on the "Options" button and selecting "Run in termina=
l mode". However, I haven't yet found any use for the "Run" function in it'=
s regular mode.

So that's it. Now on to the REALLY big problem - How to get Linux connected=
to the Internet via my LAN router.

Many thanks - You're a good bunch!
Lynn
