[LBo] Changing root password

This is addressed to Lynn.

Let me start this by asking why you feel the need to change root's
password? You seem to remember what it is, otherwise you would not be
able to enter Yast. From my readings, it seems that you cannot directly
change root's password. First, you must start Linux as a "single user"
and then you are able to make such a change. But... enough said.

I hope that you have at least one non-root user id and password. If
not, read your SuSE Administrator manual about adding a user and
password using Yast. Very straight forward.

At this time in your Linux career, I would suggest that you login as a
user and traverse one of the many online tutuorials out there with hands
on activities.

We're all here, if I may speak for this group. I still can't believe
how much I've learned about using Linux and this group has played a very
large role, so stick with them.

Howard
