dpkg -l |grep kde > mykdepack.txt

I suggest you compare it with what you have as output from that =

command.  You can exclude anything that is -dev since I have that just =

for compiling something I imagine.  Look especially for kdebase. I would =

think that you should at least be able to start kde at some level with =

that package installed.
