Let's see:
  1633 visits from MS-Windowns-machines.
- 913 visits using MSIE
---------------------------------------
= 720 visits from Windows
using Mozilla (itself, or Firefox, or Netscape)
       or another windows-browser/RSS-reader.

=> 44% of our Windows-readers are educated AND free enough to use a free
browser. This is nice.

I know of several folks who need to read us in IE, because they usually
do so at work during their breaks and they are not allowed to install
anything but MS on their workstations.
Some save or print the pages and carry them home to read them.

Also, LinuxBasics.org is targeted at people who want to get to know
Linux. Thus the 'high' rate of windows-visits does not bother me. In the
contrary: It shows that there are people reading the site who are not
"100% Linux" (yet :).

Especially the "Pre-Install" section of the tutorials should have a high
ratio of windows-hits...right?

Numbers are fascinating...

Stefan

PS: On my hotel's website (neither tech- nor linux-related), I have 85%
windows and 74% MSIE, resulting in 12,5% of "windows-but-not-IE" visitors.
