[LBo] Update

To all the Crew:-

Hi - since my last post in Sept - remember the box with "no nvram" that would 
only boot Linux? Well I unplugged +reconnected and bang - psu went and fried 
the mobo, 2 h/d s [aaargh] and even the k/b and mouse!!!

The good news is:-
1] I now know how to build a pc.
2] Did a netinstall of deb etch - which ran perfectly - none of the problems I 
had with sarge to recognise graphics, s/card, network + printer. Most 
impressive.
I've also installed Mandriva [ always seems to work "out of the box" ] + will 
get hold of copies of Suse + Ubuntu to play with.

I was most impressed with the increase in list membership, and am currently 
trying to get up to speed on the new course.
