I think this is because CHM is a MS-specific thing (embrace and
"enhance"). But I will start my "freedom-rant" some other day :)

I don't know which one I have used (it's been a while).
I should have put it on the LBo-wiki, then I could remember :)
So if you try out one and/or the other, please report back your
experiences. Either to the list or to the wiki.
