[LBo] Introduction

Hi there,

I am a 40-something engineer who started learning Basic in high school in 
~1980.  An Epson CPM-based portable and the original Macintosh were my 
first two computers.

Since then I have built two windows machines on my own and currently 
maintain a home network with three different operating systems trying to 
live together peacefully.

I first started playing with Knoppix about 6 years ago but quickly gave up.  
Tried again about 6 weeks ago with Mepis and quickly moved to PCLinuxOS.  I 
am having so much fun with it that I have not booted to Windows in a couple 
of weeks.

This class comes at just the right time for me.  As the person at work that 
everyone comes to for advice on how to fix their computer, I would very 
much like to have a better understanding of Linux--the questions at work 
are already starting!
