Nice reply Stefan, thank you.  I am currently using Kmail as my email program 
and though it has many nice features, collapsing long quotations is not one 
of them.  I am hoping that we will all learn to crop our replies to the 
pertinent bits so that reading will be quicker and easier.

Of course, if anyone knows how to have Kmail collapse quotes, I would 
be /very/ interested to learn!
