Hi Emen!

All Linux distributions have package managers to handle dependencies
between programs. When installing a program you use a package manager,
and it will prompt you to install all nessecary packages to install the
one you need.

Program files have 2 formats: deb - Debian format and rpm - RedHat
Package Manager. Apt and Synaptic is normally associated with system
based on deb packages. RPM based system uses packaged managers like yum
(RedHat/Fedora), urpmi(Mandriva) and Yast(Suse).

A Linux distribution will normally give you an option to choose between
a graphical or command line tool.
