But seriously: I don't mind what editor people use (I have chosen emacs 
because back then it looked like a cool/geek thing to use).

But when it comes to rescuing systems, you might have no other choice 
than vi. And then, it is very handy to know it at least a little.
Or know where to look up the basic moves.
