I have them all installed. I use Debian Sarge though. As I understand
it, many are not available from Debian with etch or sid. You have to
search google.
Just make sure you have the contrib and non-free on the end of the
appropriate line in the sources.list file.
deb ftp://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ sarge main contrib non-free
For java I installed the Sun version. It has a bin installer where all
you have to do is answer a few questions and (usually accept the
defaults).
I use firefox and they have in their FAQ how to install.
With Sarge I had mp3's playing right after install.
Two sites worth looking at are http://www.backports.org and
http://www.debian-unofficial.org/
