Actually, one of the major things lacking in FOSS is Speech Recognition, and
Handwriting Recognition programs. Sorry for the news, but it's not a good
situation out there.
I did hear of a Festival translation that interprets instead of speaks, but
that is quite a ways down the road.
I know of people that have gotten Dragon Naturally Speaking to work in WINE
before. All it takes is a microphone input setup and a keyboard hook, both
of which WINE is perfectly capable of doing.
