Steve,
I want to tell you of an experience I had. I use a laptop. I was
using an PCMCIA auxillary drive. This drive was plugged into a 110
outlet. There was a power failure. My laptop continued working because
it was powered by battery. The auxillary drive stopped. I did not notice
the power failure, and took no action. What did I lose? The ability to
mount the drive.
