I forget what you are running, Howard.  Did you do any upgrades 
recently?  What distro, kernel?  Do you know if you are using udev or 
hotplug?

Mounting devices has changed radically over the past year or two and I'm 
doing my best to keep up with it.  I had some major problems with my 
recent rocket experience into Ubuntu Edgy and the 2.6.17 kernel.  That's 
why I have more questions than answers for you.

Oh, yes, another question?  Have you been plugging anything else into a 
port lately?
