I understand your feelings Jim. It touches on the timeless dilemma in any and
all technical fields.

There is the mix of, "they are trying to make it hard on us, just because it was
hard for them" theory. Then there is the side where knowledgeable folks get so
tired of repeating themselves on points that they have gone through major long
involved time and effort to try to place in the FM. Which to them, no one
bothers to take the efforts to read, but rather whine about like little
children, about how they are not being spoon fed and everything being made
simple enough for them where they don't even have to think.

<insert rant>
slide rule, pencil and paper, remember formulas, but I have this calulator, oh
uh the batterys dead, well_ uh well_ uh well_..... what is 2 + 2, any way
anyone know? Why do they make this so hard, can't they wait til we get new
batteries to give the test?
</remove rant>

And then there's LinuxBasics.org ... heheheh can we insert the phrase
"shameless plug" here?

Where everyone gets to be the knowledgeable guru if they are even 5 minutes
ahead of the one that made the request for assistance. Speaking of which, when
out next course starts, there will always the option to help assist others with
not only the quick email fired off, but the more effort intensive "put it in the
wiki" or perhaps better phrased as, don't like the FM, help rewrite it"!

Sigh, there he goes again with his piddling 2 cents...
must be past his nap time he's getting cranky, lol.
