Why not use virtual machine software like VirtualBox?
That way you can leave the real partitions as they are and create
virtual drives and partitions as much as you want. Removing the virtual
drive is as easy as removing a file.
At least you know you will not screw up your host system.
VMware Workstation and Parallels are alternatives, although not free.
