Don't remember exactly how it's going for Apache 2, since I upgraded
recently from Apache 1.3. But there *is* a difference. In the first
version, when issuing 'apachectl restart graceful', you could restart
the server without kicking everybody out.

When I do maintenance at night and no one's online, no problem, I'll go
for /etc/init.d. But some time ago, I had to change something in php.ini
(something about maximum upload size of a file), and people using the
library database server were online, so I had to use the 'graceful' option.

Cheers,

Niki
