[LBo] Speeding up Firefox

I have Ubuntu 7.04.  I took out the changes I had made and have also had
an upgrade of firefox since then.  I am not seeing the problem at this
time.

I did some Internet searching and did see where others had the same
problem which they identified in connection with gmail. I had begun
using igoogle.com at the same time this problem began to occur as well.
 The same site had suggested both google apps and the firefox changes.
So, I still don't know exactly what caused the problem.  Well, I'm
pretty sure it is not simply igoogle, because I am still using that and
not getting crashes after the recent upgrade of firefox.

I'm going to test again. I've just done the 4 things in number 12 of the
Tip.  I'll try to remember to report back in a couple days, or sooner if
it breaks again. The link we are discussing is:
