I have a netgear router that works fine with linux as well as other
computers running XP and OS X
My laptop has Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG card. I run debian so
after using synaptic to install the ipw3945 drivers, firmware, source,
modules it still didnt work. turns out that you need a newer kernel than the
stock 2.6.18 Etch Kernel. after getting a newer kernel (2.6.21-2-686 #1)
and adding wifi-radar and the newer ipw3945 tools I was using wifi with no
problem. ok that sounds worse than it actually was,
Chuck
