Local colleges and universities are also good sources for used
computers. Most upgrade their computers every year or at least every 2nd
year. The colleges in my area hold auctions to dispose of their old
computers. My experience has been that not many show up to the auctions
to buy used computers and you can often get a pallet full of computer
equipment for under 100 US dollars.
