Installing the packages for MP3, encrypted (=almost all) DVDs, and 
things are harder on Suse than on Ubuntu.

Suse does not include these packages anymore, so you need to download 
them from one or more sites and install them (e.g. Packman).
On Ubuntu/Debian systems, you add two apt-sources and install the packages.

I have not succeeded in installing Compiz/Beryl on Suse, while it worked 
like a snap on Ubuntu and Gentoo (same hardware!)

...but trust me on the sunscreen :)
