The server goes on their system, since you want to view the activities
on that computer. Versions of the server (as well as the client) are
available for both Windows as well as differing flavors for Linux
(X/KDE/GNOME). You know of the basic X ones. The K versions (Krdc/Krfb)
add different features like controlling the bandwidth or creating an
email invitation that expires, although those are geared more towards
remote control over an insecure network like the internet.
