Hi everyone!

I have a small project which I want to solve.

I'm running a Debian Etch server with a backup software called
BackupEDGE Version 02.01.05 (which doesn't have built in SMTP support).
BackupEDGE depends on i.e sendmail, exim4 (MTA's) to be able to send
backup summary's to it's destination. On our old servers we use
sendmail/exim with a '|/bin/mail -s %S %n' syntax.

I want to keep my new test system as clean as possible and I prefer to
use a mail command to send the mail not mutt.
As I don't want a MTA installed, I was thinking of installing a MUA
which is pretty much stripped down to only have 'mail'.
I've done 'apt-cache search mail', 'apt-cache search mua' among others
and I found these packages which I thought were interesting:

mailx - A simple mail user agent
tkrat - Mail user agent with POP, IMAP, mh support using Tk

Both depends on exim4 :-(

Any recommendations on packages that would be useful is appreciated or
if there is another way to do it.
