Hello All;

I'm the guy with the problem forwarded to the list by Sam.

I fixed it today by changing the partition listed in the Win2k loader.
Here's what I think happened. Please excuse the possibly incorrect
terminology; partitioning isn't my strong point. Hopefully, however,
someone with the same problem will figure out what the heck I'm saying
and get some use of it.

Before the Debian install, my hard drive was partitioned like this:

Primary hda4 - 500meg-ish FAT16 for XOSL and DR-DOS (which also won't
boot, but that's another topic I figured out today as well)
Extended hda5 - NTFS Win2k install
Extended hda6 - Linux

After I installed Debian last week, it looked like this (the order is
right, but the numbers may be off a digit)

Primary hda2 - Linux
Primary hda4 - FAT16
Extended hda5 - NTFS
Extended hda6 - Linux
Extended hda7 - Linux

The physical location of Windows didn't change, but the creation of a
new primary partition on the drive caused it to get moved around in the
listing. Apparently, which I obviously didn't know, the Win2k
bootloader doesn't go by physical location, but by order listing. By
changing the partition number in the Windows bootloader from a 2 two a
3, I was able to once again boot properly.

All this because of a game my wife likes, and the proprietary software
that came with our Kodak digital camera. Yeesh.

Thanks for the help, guys 'n' gals.

-Rob
