[LBo] Strangeness with digikam under debian etch??

Has anybody running digikam on debian etch updated there distro lately and 
noticed that digikam has been downgraded? I did a dist upgrade last night 
when I ran digikam this morning it had reverted back to an earlier version 
(interface change, different start up pictures, different picture viewer).

Normally each update of digikam gives you a new picture on the start up screen 
but last nights version has reverted back to a previous version.

Anybody else seen this??
