After I posted it I came across you post about Kubuntu Edgy. I will have
to give it a try. I have a machine that I have setup for testing various
things and I have installed a PCI wireless card and a PCI to PCM/CIA
adapter in which I installed an Orinoco Gold card. The Orinoco card
comes right up but the other card has yet to connect. I have not done
much investigation into it yet as it has been a rather busy weekend and
week so far.

Speaking of that does anyone know of a good memory diagnostic that may
actually tell me which stick of memory has problems? Memtest86+ may
actually do this and I am just not sure how to read the output. It is
obviously an intermittent problem. I have run Memtest86+ 3 times over
the last 48 hours and it identified the problem once. I tried reseating
the memory and that made it worse the first time and worked a few boot
cycles the second attempt and then I started running Memtest86+
