I also just discovered the "about:config" method on the Mozilla site.
[ A recent deb etch "upgrade" gave me Iceweasel ].

My question is - would it be more secure for browsing to run Firefox, directly 
downloaded from Mozilla [ which automatically checks for updates ] rather 
than wait for updates to go through the Deb package system for Iceweasel ?
