a problem with a power saving mode?

256 *2 =512 
32 MB being used for video leaves 480MB. very believable

.5GB -> 1.5 GB? I wish somebody would apply that kind of math to my 
paycheck  ;) 
seriously though, my wife's computer has a mismatch between these 2 numbers 
too, so I guess, the system information is questionable. what does the bios 
say?
