I've been having problems which I think began about the time of doing
these little tips on my Linux system at home. I'll see what happens at
work in Windows. I think some of the tips may be more specifically for
the Windows version.
Just now I reset the two that I had added:
nglayout.initialpaint.delay
config.trim_on_minimize
I think the nglayout one may be the problem, because what happens is this:
I click on the little X to close a tab.
The screen goes blank to the console screen on terminal 1.
If I wait a few seconds I get the login for KDE and can log back in.
The nglayout thing has to do with redrawing the screen which could be
associated with this very bad habit of losing my X session. :-(
I'll report back after I get a chance to use it some more. Right now I
need to get to work!!
