[LBo] Can't access Network Process Manager or Services in Xubuntu?

I'm not sure what two features you are talking about.  It sounds like
you are talking about some sort of administrative task.

If it doesn't open, then the first likely thing is that the password is
not correct even though it seems to be.  Are caps locked?  Putting in
extra spaces?

Try typing your password in a text editor to see how it actually looks.
  Is it possible that you had caps on when you set the password?  Having
an incorrect case on a letter or letters is the usually the problem.

It is the same password that you used to login with; so maybe you are
right and there is something wrong with the sudo set up on the
installation.

I hope someone on the list is actually running Xubuntu or XFCE so they
can chime in here.
