[LBo] Internet Connection Sharing, Desktop (F7, eth0) to Laptop (WinXP, Wireless)?

Hello,
You can do this...
Step#1
- Right-click on the wireless connection on your laptop network settings and
hit properties.
- On the advanced tab, choose to "share" the connection.
(This will automatically setup your wired connection as 192.168.0.1)

Step#2
Set your RH eth0 to 192.168.0.2, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, and DNS &
gateway 192.168.0.1

Your laptop will always have to be running for this to work.

The laptop can get to the outside world just fine over the wireless, and it
can communicate with the desktop over the ethernet as well.  I've had no
problems passing files back and fourth between the two machines.  I just
can't get the desktop to reach the outside world.

Chris, If I can't find a solution using what I already have, then I'll
consider buying a usb adapter.  Thanks for the link.
