[LBo] New xubuntu user still has no net connection

Good question... I have never burned a bootable DVD before.  I burned it the
same as I usually burn bootable CDs.  It may be that my machine won't boot
from the DVD which is the second CD drive.  I'll keep reading...

I have seen people just put the ISO on a data CD and then try to figure out
what is next.  But hey, the first time I used a PC, I tried to flip the
5-1/4 floppy over and format the back side too...  I thought it would be
like the old apples IIe and Commodore that I had used.

Not wishing to tell how to suck eggs but have you burnt the iso image to the

dvd correctly?? there is normally a setting on the burning software to burn 
iso images to dvd\cd
