No, actually it is bash. I learned to use &> when I first began using
Linux and had to get a log of startx to send to the developer in order
to diagnose why I could not get X going. He is the one that gave me the
"&>" redirect to get the errors and the output. I always felt it was
easier to remember than other ways; so it stuck. I was a newbie; so
what did I know. :-) It seems to work for me.
