[LBo] Network attached printing woes

I s%^&r that network attached printing is the worst bugaboo I 
have. Never did get my daughter's Linspire system to work 
properly. Now I just installed OpenSuse 10.2 and just can't seem 
to make it work. Now I can't even find the printer! On hers it 
sees the printer, it just won't print. On the OpenSuse it can't 
even find the printer with CUPS when I put in the IP and port of 
192.168.0.50:641. It's a HP Laserjet 5P.

My windoze boxen haven't a problem, my wife's windoze box, no 
problem. Why is Linux giving me such a pain? Searched for 
tutorials and they all refer to directly attached via parallel or 
USB, not IP address. Hints?
