It's not attached to any PC, It just has a network address of
192.168.0.50. It uses a Hawking PN7127P 1 port 10/100M print
server. It supports SNMP and HP Web JetAdmin which supposedly
runs on HP-UX, Red Hat, and SuSe. It also has a built in web
server much like a router. Once an IP address is set up you can
see the web server. To set the IP you use arp (IP address) (MAC
address) then you browse to it via HTTP. One can also use BOOTP
to set it up.
On the Windoze side it has been so reliable I have never had it
go down, ever. It just works. On Red Hat 7.3 I got it to work but
it was a bit of a struggle. Don't recall what I had to do it's
been so long ago - 3 years?

I've tried every variation of the HP LaserJet 5 and 4 that seems
to exist.
