I follow the list for madwifi, because I ran into problems with my wifi
card which has an Atheros chip. I don't know much about wireless or
network in general; so I understand very little of what is said on the
list. I do recall some mention of problems that sound similar to yours.
Before I look into that, would you please check your cards chipset. Do
that on a commandline with:
lspci |grep Ethernet
That should show it. If not, just do 'lspci' and pick out what looks
like your wireless. Then post that line on the list so we get the
revision number.
