[LBo] Kernel panic

Hi all!

I don't know if here is the best place to post my problem, anyway...

I have a custom Linux built based on Linux From Scratch 6.2.0. I have an 2.6.16.27 kernel, gcc 4.0.3 and glibc 2.3.6.
The purpose of this machine is to serve as enviroment to build other Linux images.

So, I have tried do build a Linux based on kernel 2.4.34.2. I built the kernel from source. Then I put the binaries in the right place and build the image of the new Linux (kernel 2.4.34.2).

When I boot the system, everything seems to be ok: LILO runs, I can see those common boot messages and so on. But seconds later I get the message:

"
(...)
VFS: Mouted root (ext2 filesystem) readonly.
Freeing unused kernel memory: 324k freed.
Cannot set up thread-local storage: set_thread_area failed when setting up thread-local storage

Kernel panic: Attempted to kill init!
"

I've already searched Google but I didn't that could help me.

I think the problem is that I've built glibc with NTPL support and
without linux threads.

Thanks,

André Thiago.
